About Our Early Childhood Program
The classroom
Our Montessori early childhood classroom (ages3-6) is a carefully prepared, child-centered environment designed to foster independence, curiosity, and a love of learning. Our curriculum Includes-Practical Life, Sensorial, Language, Math, and Cultural Studies offering hands-on materials that allow children to explore concepts at their own pace. Children choose their work, move freely, and engage in purposeful activities that build concentration, coordination, and confidence. Mixed-age grouping encourages peer learning, while the teacher acts as a guide, observing, supporting and presenting materials individually or in small groups. The space is calm, orderly, beautiful, and tailored to children's size and abilities, promoting respect for self, others, and the environment.
Admission
All children who meet the following criteria are eligible for admission:
· Age and gender requirements (Children must be 3 by September 1)
· Physically, developmentally and emotionally able to succeed in our program.
· Children must have independent toileting skills.
*Class gender and age ratios may also affect eligibility.*
General Enrollment Process:
· Make application
· Tour School
· Interview with child (The child will spend a morning in the classroom, when possible)
· Complete Enrollment Forms
Tuition & Fees
Our school year runs from mid-August through the end of May.
We are a four day program M-TH from 8:00a.m -2:00 p.m.
*Tuition: $820 per month, paid in 10 monthly installment
*Supply Fee: $400 EC program; $600. Kindergarten
*Registration Fee: Required at enrollment
Teacher/Student Ratio
Wooded Acres Montessori school has 16 students per classroom
with two Montessori certified teachers and one teachers assistant.
